Architecture you sit in.

The Constance Lounge Chair is a radical departure — a bold, angular composition of intersecting birch wood slats that fans outward like the pages of an open book or the vaulted ribs of a cathedral. Where the rest of our collection flows in curves, the Constance speaks in sharp, confident lines, creating a striking geometric silhouette that commands attention from every angle in the room.

Dozens of individual birch slats radiate from a central spine, crossing and interlocking to form a self-supporting lattice structure. The result is a chair that looks impossibly open — light passes through it, shadows play beneath it — yet delivers a surprisingly enveloping sit. The wide, reclined seat cradles the body at a relaxed angle, while the fanned backrest rises high to support the shoulders, inviting you to settle in and stay.

From the front, the Constance presents a dramatic triangular profile. From the side, the lattice reveals its full depth and complexity — a three-dimensional grid where no two viewing angles are quite the same. It is as much a sculptural installation as it is a place to sit, equally at home in a gallery as in a living room.

Crafted from sustainably sourced birch, the pale, natural timber keeps the structure feeling light and warm despite its bold proportions. The open lattice construction ensures the chair never overwhelms a space visually, allowing the room to breathe through and around it.

Place a pair flanking a coffee table for a dramatic conversation setting, or let a single Constance stand alone as the defining statement piece in the room.
